Many students find writing difficult and frustrating. They know what they want to say,but when it comes to expressing themselves through the writing medium,they encounter problems.
Not only do they have to address the complexities of their topic,but they also have to follow the conventions of the formal academic essay. The task seems daunting. Broken down into its basic components,however, writing is not so difficult. In fact,by addressing three key elements,every student can write an effective story.
Meet poet Kim , She has self discovered these key elements of focus,organisation and clarity.
She also has discovered in her young life that, In life, we all go through hard times, times where our strength and fortitude are tried and tested.
These tough times can come in many forms: going through a divorce or breakup, losing a loved one, financial hardship, job loss or struggling to overcome a life challenge or obstacle.
While during them, it can feel impossible to find your inner strength, always remember, if you dig deep enough, it’s there.
WhitePaperBooks is very proud to introduce Kim and her two poems of Progression & Ambition
You say you felt that pain;
Had the same tear-stained face as I did
But did you feel yourself break?
Everything you ever wanted dissipate
Into a heap of useless work
All the extra work, hopeful wishing
Intrinsic pep talks; that one day
One day it would all be worth it
But the day came and went
With nothing but regret
Did you feel the pity?
Of those who knew;
Knew of the struggles, the hope
Did you hear the snap?
The sound of my heart breaking
My resolves shattering at my feet
It’s time to move on but yet;
I’m still behind, unable to move past
It’s new, this feeling of emptiness
For the hopes have been spent
All on one dream, one hope
One big heart-wrenching disappointment
But it doesn’t matter
Doesn’t represent anything to those who’ve obtained
Tossing my biggest dream around carelessly
As I watch just wishing I could catch and hold it
Maybe I’ll look back;
With new dreams bigger than ever
Laughing at how small my dreams once were
I hope that day comes soon
So that this emptiness can be replaced;
With joy, fulfillment of holding that dream
Replacing that old foot-hill with a mountain
It may be all for one and one for all
But all has now been redefined
All is now blood, sweat, and tears
One is now fulfillment and achievement
Now I reject all failures that come for me
For they understand not who I have become
But look for who I once was
There is a start for us all
A race we all begin
At different times, different places
We are given a blank timer
Constantly ticking till its final time due
The world, now in the eyes of a babe
Large, Wistful and full of opportunities
The presence of life so full
Yet so daunting, full of many beginnings
Fragile enough to hold dear, but powerful enough to fear for
Shadows shy away like sheer sheets of memories
Always in the background, noticed in the presence of light
For years, no light was present
But our thoughts became the flame
The darkness no longer an abyss hidden
Now memories made, beginnings had
Life is held in our grasp
Opportunities shaping our lives
Every twist and turn allowing us substance
The future is an availability just out of reach
As the time passes, the timer continues to tick
Our once daunting beginnings are now fragile and full
Memories had and continued
My clock stops ticking
Arms rotated all the times of a full life
Thank You Kim for this outstanding body of work ~
